Partners in Employment For Fee Services
Partners In Employment, is a not for profit organization with locations in Perth and Huron Counties, providing support services for individuals with employment challenges, to obtain and maintain employment.
From April 2003 - March 2004 Partners in Employment worked with 476 individuals. Our clients worked at a total of 381 jobs during this same period.
Partners In Employment has local Employment Facilitators to provide Labour Market Re-Entry Services for individuals with employment challenges and to assist these individuals to find employment in Huron and Perth Counties. In an effort to meet demand and minimize transportation difficulties in Huron and Perth Counties, Partners in Employment offers services in Stratford, Listowel, Wingham, St. Marys, Seaforth, Clinton, Goderich and Exeter. Staff also travels to Mitchell and Milverton as required. Increasing service to meet the demands of those who seek employment in their home communities has been a priority.
Partners in Employment has worked hard to maintain our credibility with our Employer Base. This growing database represents 2000+ area businesses. This group characterizes a diverse cross section of the available employers in our region.
Diverse funding has provided Partners in Employment staff with an awareness and sensitivity to the needs of Employment Equity target groups and the rural community. Beneficiaries of this awareness and sensitivity are unemployed persons who become employed, employers that have their employment needs filled and the community as a whole by having a lower unemployment rate.

Sometimes the only thing stopping a potential employee from getting that job they desire is a good resume and some polished interview skills.
At Partners in Employment we are offering a 10-hour package that will cover all areas of proper presentation. Our Employment Facilitator will work one-on-one with your client to make sure that the all-important first impression is the right impression.
The impact of professionally completed resumes and cover letters is immeasurable. Our Employment Facilitators will be:
- Assisting your client in developing a job search portfolio.
- Working with your client to develop a professional resume that will include transferable skills.
- Developing targeted cover letters.
- Partners in Employment will have prepared them thoroughly to get through an interview, smoothly and with confidence, by:
- Practicing interview questions.
- Sharing information about appropriate apparel. Addressing any other personal presentation issues.
- Videotaping a mock interview for the purpose of critiquing the outcome.
The expected outcomes for your client are:
- Possessing a polished and professional resume, showcasing their abilities and experience, making your client stand out amongst the competition.
- Increasing the likelihood of advancing to a face-to-face interview.
- Raising your client´s confidence, enabling them to demonstrate their capabilities in a clear and concise manner.

Partners in Employment offers this service to individuals who are unclear about what type of work they want to do or what types of work are available in their community.
The staff at Partners in Employment will put their knowledge of the local labour market to work for your client. All of our facilitators are residents of the area and connected to their communities. This puts them in a great position to provide quality, up-to-date information, services, and resources for job seekers.
Your client will spend up to 10 hours with an Employment Facilitator to explore various types of employment utilizing a variety of methods.
- Analyzing in-depth job descriptions.
- Identifying what types of education and training are available locally.
- Learning how to get financial support for education and training as well as identifying sources of financial aid.
- Observing careers on-site determining if the position is, in fact, a suitable option.
- Holding Information sessions with persons currently employed in the chosen career field.
- The expected outcomes for your client includes:
- Enabling the client to make a well-informed decision as to a realistic career fit.
- Identifying potentially satisfying long-term occupations.
- Discovering educational and training resources that can help your client get the skills they need, to get the job they want.
- Targeting only companies that are a match for their career plans.

At Partners in Employment we take pride in our dedication to community. We employ local Employment Facilitators to maximize our knowledge of community and labour market information. Your client will be able to capitalize on this knowledge by properly analyzing the labour market and targeting their specific skills to the available jobs.
Partners in Employment also maintain a database of 2000+ businesses from across Huron and Perth Counties. There is a wide array of businesses in this compellation, such as, Manufacturing, Primary Industries, Trades and Transport, Sales and Service, Business and Administration, Health, Education and Government, and Arts and Culture. Making these connections will expand your client´s job search capabilities. They will be well prepared to target only those individuals who have the capability of advancing their job search.
Working with your client for up to 10 hours our Employment Facilitators will help them accomplish the following:

- Clarifying the skills your client has to offer and applying it to current local labour markets.
- Setting up Introduction Interviews with potential employers.
- Working with the client to ensure they create a lasting impression when meeting with potential employers.
